Good morning everyone!! It is a beautiful day in Riverview, New Brunswick Canada today! Spring is on its way for sure!

The reason for my post this morning is that I am excited to show you a new creation I created this morning!!!! I have been wanting to learn how to sew children's clothes and figured I would start with something simple but cute! I got this idea for a Reversible Pillow Case Dress from this site called SewingMamas.com. Of course there are no measurements but..I researched sites that had standard children sizes and used this as my reference.. Phew..I was scared..LOL. Anywho, here is how it turned out!

Now this little dress I figure that it will fit a toddler from 12 mos - 18 mos. As well as a top for a 2 year old to wear with leggins!

Pink Polka Pleated Purse!

How springy is this bag?? I love this fabric..it is perfect to perk you up for spring!

I also added for an additional touch, a bigger version of the fabric flower from the fabric flower tutorial I have blogged about in the past. Also, for the middle of the flower I cut an additional square and loosely stitched around the four sides and pulled it all together to form a puffy fabric medallion and sewed a button on top.

Fabric Flower Head Band

These are so stinkin cute on babies, I cannot stand it..LOL ..these easy little fabric flowers that I made (see my fabric flower tutorial) are super cute added to a stretchy headband that I got at our dollar store. I make approximately 6 per week and every week they are sold by the end of the market day...who knew?? LOL. Anywho...here is a photo of a little lady who has approximately 4 or 5 of my creations...she is the daughter of one of my customers...she is absolutely adorable!

My lovely friend and fellow scrapper Ali has featured me on the site that I founded called "Sketches: Creatively Yours" . Creatively Yours is now her baby and she is doing a magnificent job!! I love what she has done with the site! Any who, she asked me to be a Guest Sketch Designer for April and I absolutely accepted with honor! Well feeling a little bummed this week..I have not been able to sew a thing! I have degenerated discs in my lower back and I have been sore and stiff the entire week! Robaxacets are my friends! Wow I am super excited to have had the phone call I got today! I am heading to the Moncton Market to sell my bags! I am soooo siked! Apparently the gentleman that called me has been trying to get a hold of me for a while now and I have not been in?? Anywho, does not matter now cause I am so in!! I am going to be a filler here and there, I have a 8 ft spot this Saturday! YAHOOO!! A little tricky though for bags on a 8 ft counter, but I am sure I can make they display look pretty. Fun At the Pictou Market!

My first Market was lots of fun! It was such great trip and and fun experience. Even though I did not sell enough to cover admission fee and hotel, meals and travel. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a vendor at the Pictou Weekend Market this past weekend. I had lots and lots of interested people and that is all I hoped for. My hope for this past weekend was to get my products seen and hear comments from others hoping that my products are sellable. I brought my hubby along and he said that lots of people were very impressed and that my work was beautiful (Blushing). With the economy being what it is and being in a small community, I did not get the sales I had hoped for but I did make alot of contacts with people and handed out some business cards. So with that I made sure I wrote down lots of notes from comments people made and I will plug away and continue to do what I love! Creating and Designing wonderful handbags and accessories and to continue to get into markets and just having lots of fun meeting new people and friends! I am so glad I got to meet the wonderful people and Vendors of the Pictou Market! What a friendly Maritime place to visit!

Spring Is Here! Finally

Wow, this week has been a mix of cold and milder weather, the post few days have been mild but rainy. This weekend they are announcing warm above seasonal temps! Finally, Spring has Sprung! There are a few signs of spring here and there...crocus, tulips etc.. But where I find spring, is in my sewing studio..my totes are being created with lovely flower patterns and soft colors. I have been sewing every free moment to get stock ready for a market that I will be attending this summer..I am going on the road to Pictou, Nova Scotia. They have a wonderful market that they hold all summer. I will be a vendor for two weekends No No's Sew Hip Creations will be on the road: July 4,5 and August 8,9. I am very excited it will be my first time selling my creations in person!

Fabric Flower Tutorial

Here is the following easy tutorial on how to make these great flowers that you can use on any of your creations such as Handbags, Totes, Wallets etc. And even on your scrapbook pages and cards! So dig into your scrap bin and have fun!

Here are the supplies you need:

Scrap pieces of Fabric

Iron

Needle and Thread

Ruler

Scissors

Buttons

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut your fabric into 5 - 2" x 2" squares.

Step 2: Fold each square into triangle pieces and iron.

Step 3: Thread your needle with enough thread to go through all your pieces. Sewing with a very loose stitch weave your needle through the two raw edges.

Pull the thread tight creating a petal and continuing onto the next 4 petals doing the same.

Step 4: When you have finished all 5 petals, sew the two end petals together creating the flower.

Step 5: Flip the flower over and sew on your button making sure to catch any loose fabric and making sure to catch a piece of each petal from underneath making sure of a even center of the button.

And whaa laa! There you have it..a cute little fabric flower to use on your layouts, cards or on mini albums. You can create these flowers any size from adjusting the squares you cut out from the fabric..just as long as you keep the measurements square you can use 1" x 1", 2" x 2", 4" x 4" etc....

Here is a sample of one I used on a tote that I created.

A Sad day indeed...on Thursday my good old Saturn SL Kicked the bucket! It is was a mixed emotion day for sure..can we afford to get a new car?? Humm....well I think we have to anyway right? So off to the dealers we go in search of a new car (well not brand new..but newer than what we had) The salesman comes right over and we say we need to get a car and we describe what our needs are..he says well guys there are two 2008 Pontiac G6 that arrived here a few hours ago and they are priced to go!!! HUH?? The ticket price $12,450.00...????? What is the dealio? These cars are usually priced for approximately $14,000.00 and UP! So we go for a test drive and I am automatically in love..I am feeling the power of a V6..wowzers and smooth..
It is Midnight Blue and soooooo roomy..

Happy Sunday! Today is a very grey day here in the Maritimes! That is totally okay..I have orders to fill and creations to create! I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow :o) We have had some unpleasant frigid cold whether... - 30 deg celcius and -42 deg celcius with windchill! Yikes, this apparently has been a record breaker since 1956!!! WOWZAS..great times..I can't wait for summer!

Bingo Bag Mania!

Approximately two months ago I did not even know that Bingo Bags existed..well I do now..

When I got asked from a local lady if I made bingo bags, my answer was "What the heck are Bingo Bags" I saw a photo of one and I thought geez..I can make these..well..good thing cause they are popular as heck! I have had order after order for these bags...I even had a call from a lady in North Carolina (at 10:20 pm) tee hee..she googled Handmade Bingo bags..and I was there..She said that I chose very pretty fabrics and she just loved them..who knew??

Well, I have been inspired...not only do I love patterned papers but I love fabrics just as much..I love to feel fabrics in a fabric store...matching and coordinating..ironing in interfacing etc.. Sewing together all the pieces to create something that is useful makes me happy..

I was in contact from a girl who teaches scrapbooking and wanted to purchase one of these totes to carry scrappy supplies...well I can do that I am a scrapper so I know how heavy albums can be..

Here is an example of my totes:

This tote fits 4 - 12" x 12" albums..I have lined the inside with a stronger fabric to make it extra strong. It also has a large front pocket! The colors shown here are pink and chocolate browns. Price for these totes are $25.00 cdn.

Well lots has been going on since I last blogged on my personal blog. Here is a rundown on what I have been up to:

As some of you may know I started a new blog showcasing my sketches called Creatively Yours - Sketches by Noella. This blog started June first and I can't believe the response and traffic I got..people contacting me and wanting to design for me! Crazy! So, I decided to place an ad at Iscrap in search of a design team and 52 applicants signed up...WOW!! How do I choose???? yikes..it was a hard decision but I managed to choose 12 people who are now my current Design Team! Check my awesome team out here.

I have also been contacted once again from the NBCC to teach starting September 18. Night classes in scrapbooking. I am very excited about this..yay! The lady I have been corresponding with is so organized!

Also, at Scrapbooker's Club House there is always some cool stuff going on such as Olympications, Celebrity Chat with Ali E! Yep...that Ali E.!!! September Guest Designer Contest as well as the regular SBCH Blog Sketch Contest!

On the home front, my baby boy (who is almost 7) lost his first tooth!! He was so excited!

Okay okay so I have not blogged in a while! Not keeping up with what's new! I have been blogging, just not my own. I keep a blog going for Scrapbooker's Club House where I am DT Coordinator and Admin. Assist. I love that place! I also currently have been keeping another blog of classes that I will be offering called Memories to Cherish-Scrapbooking and Card Classes where you can sign up for blog updates and keep current of when and where my classes can be found!

I have been designing the past two months at Scrapbooker's Club House and with some awesome products from the March and April kits!

I'm Dreaming of a white Christmas!! Just like the ones I used to know..I really think that this year will NOT be a problem...no green Christmas this year!

All is white today in the Maritimes! A winter storm has covered us with over 40 centimeters of the white stuff...here is a photo of what I saw out my window today:

Okay, I am not really a bad blogger..I have been just busy with Design Team Call and our Scrapbooker's Club House Blog! Please forgive me..

Well to sum up what has been going on in my life I will make a list:

1. Scrap Gala November 9 - 11, 2007. I was a Git R Dun for an awesome three day event held here in Moncton. The classes were awesome and it was so nice to see the gals again! The classes I took are as follows: Alphabetica of Me - Kah Mei Smith of Fontwerks, Many Faces of White - Carol Wingert Co Author of Artful Memories and Carol Wingert & Tena Sprenger: Lifelines: Creating Memory Art to Chronicle Your Personal , My Favorite Things - Tena Sprenger also Co-Author both books same as Carol..as well as Big Picture Scrapbooking Instructor. Flip Frame Book - Christy Tomlinson, Scrapbooks etc. BHG, ScarletLime Kit Club Owner. School Days Altered Folder- Debbie Hill, Junkitz.

Wow this was quite an event we had lots of fun with some good friends..life is great.

2. Scrapbooker's Club House is quite jam packed with lots of fun challenges and contests:
Design Team Contest December to March - 4 new Members have been chosen..congrats goes out to Jennifer R, Cristin Hillier, Ali MacDonald and Caroline Langlois! I am so excited to have them on our team. I am on the other hand sad to see my old friends terms coming to an end! Dawn, Heather, Nadine, Laura, Tammie and Elisha!

Also at the club house we are still searching for our December Guest Designer spot, as well as a biweekly Scrapbooker's Club House Blog sketch contests...with sketches designed by me.. Make sure to come and give it a try!

3. We also held at the club house a week long Rainbow Crop..which was very popular to say the least..it was great to have a whole week to complete the challenges..The challenges given out where based on colors..it was fun. Crop challenges close tonight at midnight.

4. I also managed to hang out with my friends to celebrate a milestone in my life...I am turning 40 tomorrow! Yikes..tonight is my last night being 39! But what a great week of celebration to make a gal feel good.

But when I was 16 years old I hung out with a girl who became my best friend, she had a 1 year old baby girl..she was so precious to me. We were always together. Just this past month at Scrapbooker's Club House we had a contest with Dude Designs. You had to create 1 layout, 1 altered item and 1 card..phew! I entered my creations and panicked when I seen some of the other awesome entries that came in after mine. Everyone's work was just simply amazing.. The judging was done by Karen Pamenter herself from Dude Designs..the winner was Lisa who wins a Guest Design Spot on their site, a pizza box full of Dude papers and embellishments and a Gift certificate from SBCH for 25.00! Well the day has finally come when I can finally spill the beans! phew! It was hard to keep a secret. Here goes: My DT term has some to an end at SBCH! But to my surprise I was asked to stay on as DT Coordinator/Administrative Asst. I will be working with Nicole and the Newly selected SBCH Design Team! I am so excited to have this opportunity. I hope SBSH DT and I will bring different creative ideas to the Club House to inspire you. The new SBCH DT are: Tammie, Elisha, Laura, Heather, Nadine and Dawn.

I will truly miss the gals I got to know the past 6 months. Vicky, Pam, Cynthia, Lisa and Martina. But I am sure they will hang around and join in all the challenges and contests each month will bring. We still have one more week working with an awesome kit together!

Happy "Snowy" Easter

Well usually we can find bad weather on Good friday..this year it is actually on Easter! We woke this morning suprised to see snow had fallen..not just a light covering but 5 inches! Well no visits to relatives today. My Mom and Dad live 1 hour away from us so travelling is out of the question. So it is a relax and think about what this day really means. "Jesus" which by the way is hard to explain to a 5 year old boy who loves the fact that he gets chocolates and toys on this day.

So I hope you all enjoy your day with your families and friends, reflect on the miracles of this day and try not to eat too much Chocolate!

Month 2 and Still having a Blast!!

Okay..If I new this was going to be so much fun I would have signed up for a DT gig Sooner!! April kit has been sent to me and what an awesome kit!! Basic Grey - Pheobe Papers. At first I was a little freaked out by the colors and the patterns because I usually do more muted and distressed LO's. But when I stared working with this kit I was totally inspired. Design Team Month 1

My first assignment as Design Team member for Scrapbooker's Club House
was so much fun. The March Cherry Arte kit was just phenominal....When the kit came in I was so eager to get started designing my layouts with this beautiful paper and embellishments.

My kit was the technical kit which required doing photo transfers with packing tape (eeek) what was I to do? How was I going to use the tranfers? Well, I mostly used them as my embellishments. I found the images in magazines..

Here are a few of my creations with this beautiful kit:

I am very excited to see what my next kit will be..I know that the owner Nicole will have a great kit for April put together for us....just have to wait for the mailman now!

Thanks again Nicole for giving me this awesome opportunity to be part of your Design Team and working with some great team mates who are truly inspiring, I am looking forward to seeing what the next 5 months will bring!!

I have to say this is a true account of this quote with the wonderful news I received this past weekend.

About two weeks ago I came across an announcement on Scrapsubmit.com that Scrapbooker's Club House
was looking for a new Design Team, they were looking for 6 new members for a 6 month term and is a Canadian company..so this peaked my interest. So off I went into the forum and found some already great Design Team Members. The owner Nicole of the online store was always on the board. I really felt at home there so I posted some of my layouts into the galleries , posted 3 layouts into the Design team applications area and posted on the forums. I got wonderful feed back from the ladies so I decided to send in my written application. I figure you will never know of you don't try..right? The announcement was to come at the finally of the online crop scheduled on the past weekend...My nervousness grew as the weekend came to a close. Announcements where posted on the board 4:00 pm MST (7:00 pm Eastern ) the announcement will come!! Yikes, my belly has butterflies...humm 38 applicants..Do I really have a chance?? I keep looking at all the wonderful layouts that the other applicants were sending..again, nervous! So, 7:00pm Sunday night Eastern time..The announcement came..the thread "The New SBCH DT and Guest DT's Find Out Now".... I opened it and at first only saw the list of the Guest Designers..and I thought oh well maybe next....wait...uh! I did not see that list....DT from Canada Martina, Lisa and Noella And the US: Cynthia, Vikki and Pamela !! What??? Is that really me?? Yahoo, it is me!!

I am so excited to get started on this wonderful journey with Nicole the owner of the Online store, Share the Design Team Coordinator, my Design Team team mates and Guest DT Team Mates. I hope I will inspire other members of the board as the outgoing DT did for me! So with this I leave you with my quote " Your Dreams are Always Within Your Reach as Long as you Believe In Them"....

Well here is a picture of some Christmas tags I created with some awsome supplies I have recently obtained from my favorite Scrap store "The Scrap Shack". I needed to play with Crackle accents, Glossy accents, Distress ink Peeled paint, some awesome Victorian Glass Glitter (Pea pod) which I won as a prize in Tena Sprenger's class! And not to mention these great scraps of cherubs which I purchased at this great online store called Victorian Scrapworks a great store to find little treasures such as Dresden stars, Angels, Old Fashion Santa claus and much more. I think I will use these on my christmas pages!

Oh goodness! what a great time we had! The place to be was in Moncton, NB Canada this past weekend at Scrap Gala. The teachers were awsome! The projects even more awsome. I don't know where to begin? Well, I suppose I will begin from the first day they arrived. Debbie Hill , Kah Mei Smith, Tena Sprenger, Carol Wingert, Christy Tomlinson were all on hand to teach us this event. What great ladies they all are! We all met at the restaurant in the hotel on Friday night. Gave them presents which were journals all the "git r duns" contributed pages to about themselves. We ate and laughed and sang (That was Christy's part) as a matter of fact I think it was a rendition of Celine Dion's "My Heart will Go On". She decided that our waitress looked like Celine! he he. The table in behind her loved her song! When Christy's supper arrived we where all like "What the??"
Tomatoes, french fries and Cake?? he he she is so funny.. I knew that we where gonna have a blast with this girl! At Christy's table Debbie Hill, Nicole, Rachel, Tasha and Amy. Of course our table was more reserved (he he) I was sitting at the table with Tena , Carol, Kah Mei, Debbie, Shirley and Tina. What a great Kick off to a great weekend!

On Saturday bright and early Scrap Gala Registration began. We had our pep talk from Debbie and off we went! Classed started at 10:00 am. In the evening we all hung out and had suppers together in Debbie's (Scrap Shack owner) "executive" room. That is where the sillyness began. The teachers bonded as a matter of fact we pretty much all bonded..I felt like I have known these ladies for years! Well Tena I have known for a year and Carol for about 8 months by chatting via e-mail they are all amazing ladies. Here are some more pics to enjoy!

I have been chosen by my awesome scrap sisters to design name tags for our upcoming event ScrapGala . It is being held this upcoming weekend on November 11 and 12.

I used some awsome material such as these awsome Junkitz Flowerz and Chatterbox pp. I had lots of creative juices flowing (can you tell by the mess)...of course it helps when you have people like Debbie Hill a designer from Junkitz coming to this event. "I hope she likes what I did to them?"

There are more great ladies in the scrapbooking field that are attending this event. I am so excited to see Tena Sprenger again and meet Carol Wingert (whom I feel I already know by chatting through her blog for a year!)
Also attending is Kah Mei Smith of Font works , totally awesome canadian entrepeuneur!! And Christy Tomlinson of Making Memories as part of the Book Team and is also a Contributing Editor for Better Homes and Garden's, Scrapbook etc. This is so exciting!! Can't wait to meet all of you! We are going to have a blast..see you in 5 days!!!

Oh my goodness!! How excited am I. I just received my copy of Artful Memories by Carol Wingert & Tena Sprenger in the mail today!! It is just beautiful...I am on a creative ride at the moment and just loving the scenery man! I am mostly excited because I met Tena Sprenger last Year at Scrapfest 2005 in Moncton. She is a Creative, fun and wonderful lady. This year I have the pleasure of meeting the other author of the book "Carol Wingert" at our ScrapGala 2006 along with many other memory artists!! I have been chatting with Carol through her blog and let me tell you that we are all excited to meet her as well as see Tena again.

I can't wait to have my book signed by these wonderful ladies and just soak up the creative vibe that these two have!!

Our good friend Deb always goes every February to celebrate her anniversary. That is where she got married to her wonderful husband (who I might add puts up with her crazy friends). Any who, this year I said for a joke..wouldn't it be cool if you would write our names in the sand..it might be the only chance to get there! Maybe someday I will get to see palm trees!!!

My How I've Grown

Oh My!! How I have grown. I have been seeing this book on all my favorite creative peeps blogs and thought hummm I must have this book. So searching I went onto Chapters web site. I purchased one and so did my friend Nicole so we can totally discuss it, right??

Twyla writes about how creativity is not a gift from the gods that it takes preparation and effort. I totally agree..we can take from what she says through out her book and apply it to our own creative venue, whether it be dancing, scrapbooking or wherever your interest lies.

I love the title of one of the chapters in the book, I am totally gonna use this one: "Before you can think outside the box, you have to start with a box"..I love it. She says she uses boxes for every project she does, she stores things in them like notes, cd's etc.. Organization is what I need! I can totally be creative when my space is organized and I know where everything is..there is nothing more frustrating when you can't find that particular embellishment that would be perfect for your layout. urgggg...

My goal is to use Twyla's book to guide me into My "Creative Habit"!! If you don't have this book..you totally have to get it!!

True Inspiration

These colors inspired me!! Well I finally did a layout of me and I truly love it..I usually hate any layout that has a picture of me in it..except for the ones My friend nicole does of us..because they are so much fun. Usually we are doing something silly. I love the Sandy lion Karen Panacci line of PP Paper and stickers. Truly inspiring.

I also am inspired by reading Carol Wingert, Tena Springer blogs..They truly are creative women in every aspect. Carol contiues to post wonderful pictures of her every day. Which are truly spectacular.

Another blog I read is Donna Downey's blog...and I have to say is "Where in the world is Donna?" she is always on the road teaching her wonderful creations!! When I grow up I want to be Donna!!

My New Glasses

Well it's a miracle I can see again!!! I finally after 8 years got a new pair of glasses...don't I look like a true artist!! I can just feel the power of creativeness just flowing through me..he he.. well, at least I can see again.

But you know new glasses or new anything for that matter can sometimes change the way you are feeling..The blahs sometimes creep over us but get something new and you will feel like a million bucks again!!

As for my weight lost update I have 14.6 lbs lost ...whoo hoo.. Let me just tell you that it is a constant struggle to keep up the eating healthy life style. Some times I am talking to my inner self alot!!

Weight Loss Update

Well, here I am so far (Notice I have cropped my picture in a long skinny fashion)....I have lost up to date 13.2 lbs..whoo hoo. My clothes are getting baggy and I love it!! I am even wearing stripes!! The only problem is I will be needing clothes to fit.. Second hand stores here I come!!

There are still obstacles! I love comfort foods...such as chips and dip! I stay away from these foods because they are my downfall! But now and again I will treat myself. It is very inportant to treat yourself for a job well done. But, instead of treating myself to food, I will purchase new scrapbooking supplies..always a treat. Or purchase one article of clothing to make myself feel good.

Well, lately I haven't been blogging. I have been busy with homework and such. Homework? Huh? Well, a great bunch of gals started a Tuesday night group called SCRAP (Sassy, Creative,Rockin, Addicted, People)..We get together every Tuesday night and think outside the scrappin box. We create layouts that we would normally not create. Our first assignment was to gather information about ourselves and make a tag book. This requires alot of thinking. Each tag will contain People, Home, Inspiration, Culture, Spirtuality etc.. and the list goes on. These tags will contain things about ourselves that other people may or may not know..gets you thinking. Our next assignment was to scraplift a layout that you like. Well It wasn't easy, because I love alot of layouts..but one layout in particular caught my eye and that was one from Tim Holtz..he is fantastic. Tim uses alot of distressing in his art. Distressing is awesome!! I think He has created a distressing monster. I chose his layout which was featured in Creating Keepsakes Top Ten Issue, this layout was "A Boy with Big Blue Eyes" in the section of top ten techniques. I modified my layout for obvious reasons (LOL). This week our Homework is to do a layout with a card you have received....hummm, I am stumped..and gather stuff for a layout using fibers, this is not hard for me because I am the queen of fibers ( he he). Next few weeks I will be in charge of the classes..so I will be demonstrating how to incorporate patterned paper in layouts in creative ways..such as using different patterns (example. Stripes and polka dots etc...) of course coordinating, tearing or blocking.. This will be lots of fun...So to the S.C.R.A.P. Girls, get ready to have fun and create!!

A Need to Purge!

Well, I finally did it...I purged...For those who know me this is a big deal. In order to feel more creative I needed to organize. I moved everything out and started from scratch. I moved my table from the middle of the room to against the wall. Then moved my two five drawer keepers under the table (which my Mike discovered that they actually fit like a glove!) Then Mike helped me by getting shelving for above my table...with a few arguements!(Husbands and wives should never try building things together LOL) I threw out stuff that I will never use and giving away stuff that others can use...Now I feel FREE to create!! My inspiration comes from Donna who was purging too! AHHHH! She was giving away some cool stuff in which I could have put to good use in my new area!! he hehe Donna we so have to live closer. I also got my inspiration from My friend Nicole who is the organization "QUEEN". hehe (By the way nick, I still have some more organization to do hehehe) I will be getting some vertical paper holders for my shelves and organizing my paper by color and patterns etc.. So I still have lots to work on..until next time, have a great weekend!

Week 4 Weight Be Gone Journey

Well to all my Peeps I would like to thank you for being my biggest fans, I would also like to thank the people at WW for all the hard work in getting me this award!!! he he Sike! I just got my first 10 lb ribbon. Just like a kid we all like to receive awards for jobs well done. Now I have two 5 lb stars and 1 - 10 lb ribbon. I have to tell you this is so cool...but I sometimes fall off the wagon just like in anything else you just have to get right back on. I struggle sometimes but keep on thinking of my goals. I set small goals and when I acheive them I treat myself. My first goal was 10 lbs I would get pizza..well I tell yah, I had not had pizza in over 4 weeks (this is one of my fave foods) so I had pizza. My next goal will be 15 lbs I will get a piece of clothing..and so on!

Well.....scale says.....-3.2 whoo hoo for a grand total of 8.2 lbs gone. I am on a roll people. I would also like to congratulate my friend Rach on her first gold star!! You go Girl!

Anywho, so we talk about getting exercise in...hum, I wonder if painting your bathroom is exercise??? UHHH yeah Hellooo!! My back is aching, my arms feel like lead etc...full body work out or what? So I am painting my bathroom a lovely Sahara Shade (which is kind of a mustard yellow) thats the only way I can explain it... (See pic on right)

My First Goal!!

Hip Hip Horray!!! I did it my first 5 lb Gold Star...I lost 2.4 this week for a total of 5 lbs in two weeks. It has been so simple, just keep a good meal journal and count points. I haven't been hungry at all. But I have to say that by the end of a week I get anxious..I just want to get the weigh in over with. This morning I was so nervous going into WW...ugggg. I have a great WW partner, we keep each other motivated..you go Rach... anywho, 2 weeks done 5 lbs gone. Going to the grocery store to lug around a 5 lb bag of potatoes to really get my head around what I have lost....Weight be gone!!!!!

First Layout!! On My Journey...

Well, here it is... my first layout entry in my Weight Loss Journey Album!! UGGGGG. I have quite a journey ahead. Today I went to the Scrap Shack and got coordinating patterned paper and cardstock along with coordinating vellum stickers with inspiration quotes from AMM. I decided that since I don't get to use pinks very often (having a boy and all) I would girly girl my album..
I tied two tags together..the top one has an inspirational quote and the bottom one has my top weight and my feelings journaled..Onward and forward...

Ribbon Box Pizzaz

I saw an article in Creating Keepsakes Mag about how to make a ribbon box to keep all your ribbons in...I thought WOW what a great idea. I can't stand have ribbon strewn about every where in my craft room. It is available when I need it. In order to be truly creative you have to be clutter free UHHH Did I Say that????? (Nicole I know you are proud at this moment) Anywho, I thought how could I make this my own...Hummm, well Donna D. loves Hodge Podge...Well, guess what people....Podge is my new Fav friend... You can use that patterned paper you may not use on a layout or you can use your most favorite patterned paper that inspires you. So...I decide to use different patterns "color coordinating of course" and podged them onto a photo box. I used my new favorite Drill (to which Donna refers to as some sort of male genitalia) (he he) to drill the holes for the eyelets along the sides. I also got to use my husband tools.. So cool.. So now I have an excuse to buy "MORE" ribbon (Like I need an excuse to buy scrappin supplies....HA).

Weight Loss??? Or Weight Gone Forever??

Whoo hoo!! I have officially completed my first week on WW!! And survey says.... 2.6 lbs lost. ("Lost... I really don't want it back so bye bye forever!!")

Someone once said that weight is not a loss because when you lose something you are always looking for it! Hummmm?? Ain't this the painful truth!! So you should say "reduction" or something like "weight be gone" he he!

To assist in my "Weight Be Gone Program" I have created a 8 1/2" x 11" album to help me with my journey. I have taken a plain album and podged patterned paper on to the front an back covers along with quotes that will inspire me to keep on keepin on! Monthly I will enter a layout in my album until I have reached my goals...

My first layout entry will be of my most hated pic of myself at the BEACH!! Uhhggggg... Anywho!! I swear on my weight be gone that I will take a better beach photo summer 2006!!! This is ""My Promise"".

New Beginnings

To New beginnings!! I have recently decided to join weight watchers once again! I have stayed the same weight for over 4 years..basically, I am tired of all the fat! I will journal my success as I go through this "Trying time" he he. Anyway, I came to this decision because I want to live a healthier lifestyle and be there for my son.

My inspiration came from a repeat Oprah show that was on last week about a woman who weighed 500 lbs... and she lost 300 lbs...can you imagine! If she can do that I certainly can lose 50 to 60 lbs.

My journey will consist of eating right, exercise and journalling my achievments. I have decided to make my own journal to inspire myself along with inspirational quotes.

Oh my goodness!! For this first time in four years I left my son with a real babysitter!!! I mean besides his grandparents and the sitter who watches him everyday (who by the way has three kids of her own) I was okay with it until my son got really shy and didn't even want to look at the sitter she is 14 and I think because she is a girl..you know maybe it's a boy thing... He knows her because she lives next door to my daily sitter and she frequently helps her out so she is not a stranger to my son!! I think because she was in his domain and a one on one really scared him... He held on to me and said "Mommy please don't go, please stay" OMG!! my heart was broken!! But we went out anyway, because if I didn't what kind of message would that have sent.. Sometimes it is hard to leave when they need you so. But we need to loosen the apron strings and let them go... :o(

I have only just begun....

I can't believe that last weekend I spent the entire time with very popular ladies in the scrapbooking field!! Ladies like Donna Downey, Tena Springer, Lisa Bearnson! They have inspired me to be more creative and not just throw a layout together just because I have tons of pictures...Donna's words rang true to me that she does her scrapbooking not for the memories but for the artistic factor! I had to think about that but then I realised that you will remember the true memories if you create what you where feeling about the picture or pictures.. not so much the words but the creativity...does that make any sense???
